We’re here to end your hemorrhoid discomfort.
Both common and uncomfortable, hemorrhoids affect half the population over age 50. If you experience irritation from hemorrhoids, we have advanced, nonsurgical treatments that can eliminate your daily pain.
What are hemorrhoids?
Due to straining and irritation, blood vessels in the anal canal can become inflamed and swollen, stretching the nearby tissue to form a hemorrhoid. You’ll generally discover hemorrhoids during your bowel movements, where you might experience pain and blood in your stool or on the toilet paper after wiping. Anal itching is also a common sign of hemorrhoids. Pregnant women or people who suffer from constipation are at an increased risk of developing hemorrhoids due to elevated pressure on the rectum.
Advanced, nonsurgical hemorrhoid relief at Vein Associates of Texas.
If you believe you have hemorrhoids, seek help immediately to keep them from getting worse. A more comfortable life won’t come from avoiding the problem, because hemorrhoids often won’t disappear without treatment. Fortunately, all of the hemorrhoid treatments at Vein Associates of Texas are nonsurgical and outpatient, maximizing your comfort and keeping your daily schedule relatively undisrupted.
Our hemorrhoid treatments options are:
- Ultroid – An effective, nonsurgical and relatively painless method of treating internal and mixed hemorrhoids. The Ultroid system uses a probe to apply a small amount of microcurrent to the base of the hemorrhoid. This starts a chemical reaction that causes the hemorrhoid to shrink over the next week.
- Infrared Photocoagulation – Using a beam of infrared light, we can effectively treat small- to medium-sized internal hemorrhoids. The infrared beam creates scar tissue within the hemorrhoid, cutting off the blood supply. Eventually, the hemorrhoid simply detaches, usually during a bowel movement.
